Colombia - Basketball
We're so excited to that Rees will be traveling to Colombia with us next week! The tour is just around the corner! Get to know Rees below:
"I am a 26 year old woman on fire for God and His mission. I am heading into my second year as a head women's basketball coach at Pierce college in Washington state. I am from Tacoma, Washington; upon graduating from high school I attended Highline Community College on a basketball scholarship. After leaving Highline, I went to Simpson University on another basketball scholarship; while at Simpson I got my degree in Youth Ministry and Psychology. Following Simpson, I went to Brazil to play professional basketball and started my masters; I received my Masters in Coaching and Athletic Administration
I am extremely excited to go on this trip; every aspect of it matches the desires God has laid on my heart. My mother was into jail ministry for over 20 years, so to be able to share God's love at a women's prison to start the trip is total God sent. This will be my first out of country mission trip, so I am looking forward to being able to bring the gospel to those who have never heard it before. I know that God has some great things planned for us during this trip, and everyday is a great day when following Gods plan."
We're grateful for her passion, love for God, and the skills she'll bring to the table, both from her experience as a player and a coach. Keep an eye out for the rest of the team to follow!
