    Basketball - Kenya

I am the head coach at Whitworth University, having just finished my 23rd year.

Before that I was the assistant coach at Division I University of Utah, and Gonzaga University.

I  played internationally in Bensberg Germany, after competing four years for the University of Oregon.  I grew up in Anchorage Alaska. I have a PhD in Leadership studies (Gonzaga) , a M.Ed. in Special Education (University of Utah)  and a BEd in Education (University of Oregon). I am so excited for this trip.

There are too many things that I am very excited about.  Here are just three.

I am excited to build new relationships on the foundation of Christian foundation of Agape love.  I am excited to learn from all those in whom we come in contact in the amazing culture of Kenya.

I am excited to live out this thought from Richard Stern (in Hole in Our Gospel)  “We must move beyond an anemic view of our faith as something only personal and private, with no public dimension, and instead see it as the source of power that can change the world. ” –Hole in the Gospel

    - Helen (Women's Head Coach)

Coach Perry has coached for 25 years in the state of Indiana, and has assisted or been a head coach at every level of school coaching.

Coach has worked basketball camps on four continents and wants to continue combining two of his three great loves: The Gospel and basketball.

If, some day, he is able to bring his family with him on a mission trip, he will combine all three loves.

    - Perry (Men's Assistant Coach)

    Basketball - Kenya

My name is Cassidy M., born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

I have just graduated from NCAA Division 2 California Baptist University in Riverside, CA with a Business Administration degree.

This past season, my team and I made it to the Final Four game in the Division 2 National Tournament and despite not winning a Championship, I am so grateful for my team and all the memories I have made through this basketball program!

I’m so blessed to have this opportunity to go on the trip to Kenya with Athletes in Action this summer.

I’ve been actively searching for ways to use my athletic abilities and gifts to ultimately serve others and make His name known!

I am really looking forward to going on this tour to get me out of my comfort zone, and help me develop more as a follower of Christ as well as getting the chance to see lives be changed along the way through the love of Christ!

    - Cassidy for the Women's team

Hi, my name is Robby K. and I go to Cal St LA.

Being a pastor's son, we always had missionaries staying with us growing up, and I found them to be some of the most genuine and grounded people I've ever met.

So when I got the chance to go on a missions trip, and bring glory to God through basketball along the way, I jumped at the chance!

Through working with kids, which is something I love, and a safari, and I knew it was a once in a lifetime opportunity.

I am so humbled to be going on this trip, and so excited for what God is going to do through it!

    - Robby for the Men's team
