Golf - Kenya
Today, we had our daily morning team group and then we all went to Golf Park Nairobi which is surrounded by a horse track. We all took part in the morning golf clinic for the public.
Around noon the golf team broke up into different teams with the members and played 18 holes. We enjoyed having conversations with the players and caddies with some that did lead to spiritual conversations and sharing our faith.
We hope to continue this at the other courses we go to this week.
Laura was a able to share her testimony with the whole group today and did an awesome job!
She says, "Sharing my testimony was a moment I'll never forget.
Being able to talk to people of all ages who love the same sport that I do and can relate on that level was awesome."
While the golfers were playing in the afternoon, a group of us went to NPC Karen to touch of a basketball court that AIA had built a few years ago. We painted the poles and backboards and added a 3-point line.
Two guys showed up when we were about finished and they usually use the court to teach other boys how to get better at basketball because it gives them something to help them something to look forward to.
All they had to use as a basketball was a soccer ball so we were able to give them a couple balls to practice with!
Tonight we were able to be a part of the launch of a Women's Bible study!
We talked about identity in Christ and how to grow as a Christian.
What a blessing it was hearing about their walks of life and how important growing in Christ is to them.
